IMF Estimated Unemployment Increase In Developed Country
International Monetary Fund (IMF), Wednesday (14 / 4), said it estimates that high levels of unemployment continue in developed countries until the end of 2011, at an average rate of nine percent.
“High Unemployment constant may be the main policy challenges facing these countries because the recovery gain traction,” Write a report agency based in Washington.
“World Economic Outlook” The IMF projected that economic progress will be difficult to create enough jobs even when their economy recovers to meet the expanding workforce. According to IMF projections “the unemployment rate remains high – about nine per cent – until the end of 2011.
The IMF warned the United States, European countries and Japan that they must do more to start improving job market.
Although the U.S. economy created 162,000 jobs in March, the biggest increase in three years, the unemployment rate remained at 9.7 percent range.
Since the recession began in December 2007, approximately eight million Americans lost their jobs. Approximately 15 million Americans are still unemployed.
This is the same gloomy situation in most of Europe. In the last quarter of 2009, Spain reported the unemployment rate amounted to 18.83 percent.
