New SimCity BuildIt ideas, Methods & techniques

SimCity BuildIt provides plenty of challenges for gamers that like city-building and resource-collecting games. These pointers, simcity buildit hack as well as tactics can help growing metropolis-planners away by making sure their city’s starting foundation is as solid as possible.

Plan Ahead

Each time you place a residential zone at SimCity BuildIt, remember that when the zone is not insured by the essential city services, the building will finally become abandoned and will not generate any tax revenue for you. This is awful.

As you place fire stations, police stations, and so forth, look closely at their area of effect. You want to get the best coverage possible, so putting a fire station directly from the corner of the town zone is not the smartest move, since the fire station’s area of impact will be overflowing into the deadzone, where you can’t build.

Additionally, remember that factories and service buildings don’t need to be covered by firefighter/police/etc. protection. Notice the way in the image above I’ve positioned my two fire stations to quilt the residential areas, but abandoned the industrial structures (bottom left) well out of this zone.

Sell Your Excess

Your factories ought to always be working. As you play, queue up a few of the resources together with the faster turn-around, and until you leave the game to go do something else, queue up a few of the resources that take extended amounts of time to produce.

Occasionally thought bubbles pop up using a gold coin inside them. If they’re popped, a town informant tells you of their capability to market your resources for a few coins. Unless the deal is actually weak, it is ideal to always market the lower-tier resources, as you could always get them back in a couple of minutes using the factories anyway.

Same goes factories and town services like government buildings and plants. There’s also no charge for paving roads.

With this in mind, it may make getting out of a poorly-planned situation super easy: simply extend the road out and fold it around, or just drag it into a dead-end. Then move the buildings you will need to move out of the way into the freshly-paved road, then rotate the structures in and out as necessary.

The Road to Nowhere Success

Dead-ends are your buddies in SimCity BuildIt.

Look at my town in the image above; note that extending out of the side of my town is a very long road all by itself? In the end of the road is the sewage processing plants which keep my town smelling fresh. They smell awful, which is why they are all the way up there.

Because roads are free, there is no reason why you shouldn’t keep these stinky buildings (factories included) as far away from the own residents as possible. While their place is accompanied by an area-of-effect stink-zone, their services provided don’t. As long as they’re attached to the road, they’ll service the town, however far out you place them.

Expand With Caution

I discovered that I was constantly getting access to more residential areas than I could support.

After a bit, I realized that is ok, and I focused my efforts on enhancing what I had.

Resist the urge to fill your whole map with buildings and roads. Remember, the larger the building is, the more people are able to live inside, and all those people will pay you taxes.
